About Main Street Lens
My Goal
Deliver actionable insights and innovative strategies tailored to businesses serving middle and lower-income consumers, as well as investors in these business. With a deep understanding of “Main Street” economics and consumer behavior, my mission is to empower brands, retailers, and investors in these businesses to thrive in today’s dynamic market.
My Viewpoint
While a variety of businesses serve "Main Street" customers, they tend to understand them only in very narrow siloes (ex: a restaurant business might have an understanding of the spending habits of their customers). Additionally, industry-specific publications & news sources take an vertical, industry-led approach ("what are trends in the travel industry?").
A Customer-Led Approach
I believe there is tremendous value to be unlocked by instead taking a customer-led approach - focusing on the behavior of lower-middle income consumers across industries. That same restaurant customer has a share of wallet set aside for travel, is dealing with a credit card bill and is managing a budget hampered by inflation. If you are a brand manager for Best Western, do you have more to learn from the latest developments at Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton, as you might see in a travel publication, or from learning about the trends and spending habits of your core customer base?
My goal is to cut through industry noise to provide transparent, practical, and value-driven advice. By focusing on middle and lower-income segments, I help businesses understand what really matters to their customers, translating data and trends into impactful strategies.
